First of all, why would you want to use callus remover/eliminator gels over any other products? There are a few important things to consider before choosing a gel. If you have very thick calluses and you have tried everything but nothing helped, then this could be for you. If you have weak calluses and sensitive skin, I would recommend a callus peel. Gels are more harsh to your skin and with small calluses a specific peel can get the job done. Gels can cause irritation to your skin and should be considered when your calluses are thick. Having said that, gels will generally be cheaper than peels and will last you longer. Also gel application process will be much quicker and you will be able to see instant results.
How these callus remover gels actually work? Callus gels use strong active ingredients such as Dyhydroxy Propylene. This ingredient is a strong acid, that can do magic in just a few minutes. Please don’t leave it longer than 5 minutes. It is always advised to read product instructions on the packaging before applying any product to your skin.
This is a callus eliminator gel and is one of the most commonly used gels out there. Customers love it because it seems to help when nothing else does. If you have a very thick callus that you just can’t get rid of - you might want to consider getting this gel. As with all gels, you would apply it on the callus, let it soak in for a few minutes 3-5 min. And then simply file or buff your calluses away. Unless you have a very thick and dry callus, do not leave this gel on skin for more than five minutes. It will loosen up your skin and if your callus is very thin, your skin might experience some discomfort.
The only problem with this product seems to be how the product is packaged, the top screws on and off so it is harder to apply since you have to pour it out and it can get messy. It would be handier to have a nozzle or a small opening. Apart from that, it is a cheap, quick way that does work and removes callus in minutes.
This gel is great for removing dry and cracked skin. After use, it will leave your skin very smooth. This product does have that chemical smell but that washes away easily. The only downside to this product is that the bottle design could be more practical, with tip applicator. Pumice stones that comes with the product are good if you have small callus. If you have thick calluses, be prepared to spend some time buffing your calluses away.
Be careful, a little of this gel goes a long way. It is best to use disposable gloves when applying and removing this gel. Do not get it on your toenails or under fingernails. As far as overall verdict of this product, it is great.
This callus removal gel penetrates, exfoliates and removes dead skin with gentle dermabrasion beads. This gel does not penetrate as deeply as the previous two products. It still will work wonders to loosen dead skin but the good part is that it exfoliates without irritation to your skin. This is achieved by not having any acid in the gel which is used to treat thick calluses. Since it is acid free, this product is a bit gentler than the previous two products I have reviewed. You still may want to wear gloves when applying it.
If you have a pretty bad callus, it will likely to take you several applications to get you where you want to be. If you are just looking to get your feet ready for summer and you have a slight callus then this is for you. It will make your feet softer and your dead skin will gradually come off. This product should be used twice a week until the calluses are gone. And the last thing, this gel is quite slimy and some customers have reported almost slipping in a shower.
This callus remover product is a kit as it contains a gel and metal scraper. The box that it comes in is a quite pretty box and the gel itself does not smell to strong. This gel is enriched with organic moroccan argan oil and hydrating vitamin E to nourish, hydrate and repair dry cracked feet, leaving you with soft smooth feet. It is almost like having spa for your feet at home.
Because it is acid free, it is not a harsh callus remover gel. As a result, it doesn’t remove thick calluses easily like an acid based gel products would, but it does remove some of your dead skin. After repeated applications it will keep your calluses under control.
